Iridescent coffee
I made two pots of coffee this morning in an effort to establish routine back into my life.
The DC apartment is splendid as I am the sole possessor of the bedroom and kitchen. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful it is to have a kitchen back into my authority after the one in NYC. I can cook whenever I want and all of the dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, food are mine. Unlimited kitchen access equals complete bliss.
I already made some simple, fattening, but scrumptious Tuna Noodle Casserole and brownies. I'm back in the good graces of a local Safeway, only problem is their food is not always fresh, but this is negotiable.
Yesterday those foul boys I live with - I say this with affection - and I went to Best Buy and selected a moderately overpriced television. One that has become the 4th roommate. We've already reached a point in the living room layout conversation as to what the "TV wants."
"Well we should really just put the TV over here, that way the sun doesn't beam down on it constantly and get it hot...it's what the TV would want."
It's nice to have cable too! We finally caught up on our Mad Men episode - 3rd season too! I gotta say even though Mad Men is full of people wishing they signed pre-nups, it's so cleverly written, with real heart.
I keep getting horrendous mosquito bites each day. It's terrible, I have to carry Hydrocortisone around in my purse to combat this fret.
Zipcar is our handiest mode of transportation in DC. The cars are parked in random alleys and surprise you with their extremely narrow parking spots. I had to drive in Reverse down a full block in an alley to back a car into the a spot that would be barely roomy for a MiniCooper.
DC Metro is pretty efficient and I have been trying to take a daily Washington Post insert to complete the Crossword and Sudoku puzzles.
I finally finished my 7 day dosage of Augmentin for my infected hematoma beneath my big toe.

The End.
