And Into 2012 We Have Arrived

Hello to all of my loyal readers!

Following a bumpy transition into the New Year (Gung Hay Fat Choy!), I am happy to announce that I'm feeling good about this year. Last year ended with the passing away of my dearest Great Great Aunt Angela Aumell. At 96 yo the lady was incredibly healthy (not on any prescription medication), cognizant, and happy.

New Years was celebrated in typical Seattle style; a house party in Lynnwood, some beer pong (of which I did not participate), and fireworks set off by an anonymous drunk person in the backyard. I quite enjoyed drinking several glasses of water and eating copious amounts of homemade chicken enchiladas. Here are some pictures of myself, the boy who lived, and my puppy.

January has been action-packed and full of fun endeavors. During the Snow Storm of January 2012, I was able to take 2 days off of work and paint, read, and lounge to my hearts content. My latest painting was inspired by a little movie called The Little Mermaid. My next painting will be inspired by Wooster & Jeeves, a clever man and his man servant in 1990's England.

Robert and I were also lucky enough to take a trip to Lake Chelan to attend the annual Fire & Ice Festival. We stayed with the recently engaged David & Kelsi of Kenmore in Kelsi's parents home. The day was packed with wine tasting at Nefarious Cellars, Manson Casino, pizza delivery in the snow, and some light games. A day fit for a person with a limited attention span.

This year I have re-dedicated myself to Baseball, or more specifically, the Mariners. I was a wayward fan for a few years back East...some will recall the inadvertent Yankees fan-ship, but now that my man Jorge Posada is retiring, I will no longer be such a devout fan. I plan to actually attend the Mariners games and regain faith in a team that, in the past, has made baseball look and sound boring.

Soon I will join the crowds and turn 26. Until then....
