Another chapter to this ongoing book

My goodness dear readers, for it has been several several months since I've put any time or effort into this here blog. Life is carrying me through the currents, as sailors must say, and I have managed not to get sea sick. Good news so far since we last logged in, I was accepted to medical school! Yes! The joy and relief in my heart cannot be described, or maybe it can. I feel both. To finally join the ranks of the world of physicians and know that my future will allow me to (hopefully) become that Pediatric Endocrinologist I have always wanted to be, gives me great mental pleasure.

My wedding is fast-approaching as well! I will be getting married on the Irish slopes of Connemara, Co. Galway this upcoming July 2013. Lots of planning passed through this ship and I am indeed excited about this next life adventure :) We will be honeymooning in my favorite city in all the world, London. Can't WAIT!

In August I wizened up and found a new position in Ophthalmology. I quit working for the corrupt eye doc and found an Ophthalmology practice that doesn't endorse cheap labor, minimal employee benefits, or cruel mid-tier management. I love my new job and really really enjoy my co-workers. We started a Biggest Loser competition a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately, I have not been very strict to my diet. But my guess is that the competition will heat up in the last month or so.

Since this is my final year until my life really begins, or ends as some would say, I have immersed myself in books, movies, and board games before classes start. We have a closet full of board games for people of little or extensive board game appetite.

So much to see and even more to do in this upcoming year!
