Olympics make me feel pathetic

Watching the Beijing Olympics now, pretty intense. I wonder if the Olympics make people feel out of shape, or the Biggest Loser. I love the swimming heats; real competition. Gosh, I wish I could be athletically talented...

Today we're in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Only 9 miles from DC. We already did the crazy walk down to the National Mall and were pretty plumb tired afterwards. This is the first city we hit with real humidity.

On the way to MD we passed a zoo called Plumpleton Animal Zoo -- I can just imagine a couple dozen Corgis chasing other plump corgis...how sweet.

I like DC quite a bit; the subway system is terrific, it's very clean, there's a lot to do, and it's really diverse. Tonight we ate in a district similar to Fremont; it was Cleveland Park. We also went to a bar - Atomic Bar.

I still think there's something wrong with the water -- even at restaurants. Robert agrees.

i feel the same way about the olympics. want to start running with me?

i don't know what DC water is like but apparently NYC has some of the best water due to all of the environmentalists, etc. over here making sure it's pure, who knows, it could just be a bunch of hype. personally i prefer our good ol' Washington water but that's just my palette, especially the well water. mm mm delicious.

I just got in a few days ago. I'm gonna try to move my stuff from storage on Mon. When do you arrive? Tell Robert hello. :)
